Last Thursday, in between a blogger’s event and an Ulayaw bonding moment, I squeezed in a Nano Power Peel Facial at Flawless Makati Avenue.  I arrived there with two other girls sitting on the small sofa. I went to the front desk, which is about a step or two from the door, and told the receptionist that I’m there for the free Nano Power Peel I won from Week 1 of the Power 999 Campaign. (This reminds me that I should go check Flawless Face and Body Clinic Facebook Fan Page and check out the winners of their Week 2 photo tagging contest.)

I waited for about 45 minutes before I had my turn. While waiting I had a chat with the receptionist and another female customer who came in for a Platinum Peel (I found out from the aesthetician who did my Nano Power Peel that is actually diamond peel and that they only offer it in the provinces) but eventually availed of the super cheal P999 Nano Power Peel. During that time, there were two female customers who came in for injections (that’s for the pimples, I think), two more female customers for a facial, and a couple for Nano Power Peel. FYI, the couple are both call center workers and they are missing half their work day just to get a Nano Power Peel.

You are probably wondering why I had to wait 45 minutes.  According to the receptionist, there were only 3 aestheticians available who can do Nano Power Peel and they’ve got their hands full.  This made me think that I should have gone to their Megamall branch because it is definitely bigger than this one and I may not have waited 45 minutes. Upon counting, the Makati Avenue branch only had 8 beds, five upstairs and 3 downstairs. There were  few enclosed rooms which I think was reserved for the body treatments.

I had my turn eventually. Since I am pressed for time, I wasn’t able to squeeze in a Classical Facial (worth P350). I would have liked to but I guess I have to defer that for another day. Plus, they did clean my face a little before the peeling began.

I learned a very important lesson while under the capable hands of my aesthetician, i.e. the Nano Power Peel is better than the diamond peel. Why? Because the latter only scrubs away the dead skin cells in your face. The Nano Power Peel, with its micro crystals, not only clears away dead skin cells, it also lightens your skin.

My only comment is that make sure you’e got a hanky ready after the peel. The micro crystals, as small as they are, has a way of working your way inside your shirt, hairline, ears, nape, and neck. So, you’ve got to brush those away before you step outside. A quick trip to the bathroom would do the trick. Just take of your blouse and gently wipe those micro crystals away and you’re good to go for your next meeting. Which I did. I had a fabulous Flawless night out with my friends! Here’s a picture from that night…

The photo was taken around 12 midnight. Notice that there is no redness or any adverse reaction to the peeling that was done earlier. So, if you need a pick me up in between events or appointments, you go to a Flawless branch for a10-15 minute Nano Power Peel and you’d be freshly scrubbed for your next engagement.
