On April 22, 2o1o, Norton launched the Norton Inner Circle here at the Philippines. The event was held at La Maison restaurant, located at the third floor of Greenbelt 5. The event was led by three key people from Norton’s office in Singapore, including Melvin Ang and June Ho. My friend Jonathan Sadueste Ng, an AMA professor, invited me to attend the event. Since he was coming from somewhere in the Bicol region, I agreed to be his companion for the night and I’m really glad I did.
As expected, the presentation focused on promoting Norton’s security product. However, it wasn’t boring as I expected it would be. There was a photo op before the event started and a show band, Embassy, entertained the guests while they were having their dinner. The eating continued well into the humorous and interactive presentation of Norton’s business officer — an Ibrahim something –. Afterwards, prizes were given away and wine and beer were served as NIC members networked with each other. The band also came back for another set of songs.
The guests, 95 percent of whom are males, left with their free Norton 360 2010, good for 1 year, and a Norton t-shirt. We were among the last ones to leave the venue because my friend had a blast chatting with the Norton representatives. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the next NIC event and eventually get inside the circle. Why? Here are the reasons why:
- You get to test the latest product updates before anyone else
- You get to communicated with the internal Norton team
- You get invites to exclusive product launches and events
