I was watching “Magandang Umaga Bayan” the weekend before Valentines and I saw some beauty tips shared by Phoemela Baranda. She offered tips on how to make sure that you’re ready for that Valentine’s date with your special someone without having to buy any beauty product.
Her segment inspired me to look for different ways to use food and kitchen essentials as beauty products. For this week, let’s look at how my favorite papaya can be used as a beauty product.
Papaya Facial Mask
Those soap makers have it right. Payapa has natural skin lightening properties that can help you achieve fair, healthier-looking skin. So next time you eat papaya, don’t throw the skin yet, or save a portion for a yummy papaya facial mask.
To make the mask, just ground the papaya until it turns into a fine paste. Clean your face and apply the paste liberally unto it. Leave it one for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off afterwards to reveal a softer facial skin.
The papaya facial mask is used as a natural acne treatment. It’s also good for ridding your face of blemishes and freckles.
