I love pizza! I especially like the Garlic Sausage pizza of Pizza Hut. But sometimes I do get tired of the thick crust and crave for a crunchy, thin crust pizza. Sadly, we don’t have a Greenwich within a kilometer of our house. I finally decided to try this Breek’s version of the thin crust pizza last Saturday and I must say that it’s now one of my favorites.
What really made this pizza dear to me is that it is so easy to make. Here are the ingredients
- Tortilla — you can buy this at supermarkets for about 60 pesos for 10 pieces. I personally prefer the smallest size. Just right for me,
- Pizza sauce — you can make your own, but I used Del Monte’s Sweet Pizza Sauce which i bought for Php 16.75
- Cheese — Quickmelt is preferred but I had to make economies so I chose Ques-O pasteurized cheese food
- Toppings — I used bell pepper and hotdogs in one variant and garlic and cheese for the other. I grated the garlic which really made the pizza spicy. Yum, yum. But hey, this is your pizza, so you can use whatever toppings you want. White onions, ham, bacon, pineapple chucks — you can put anything there. Make sure you can eat it though! 🙂
Just prepare it like you would a normal pizza. Heat a flat non-stick pan. You can use oil if you want to. When its hot enough, just place a pizza. Make sure that the heat is turned low so as not to burn the tortilla. Check it constantly by peeking into the bottom of the tortilla. Once it has browned slightly, you can lift it out and serve hot with a tall glass of iced tea. You can also pair this with your favorite pasta.
This pizza is so easy to make that you can do it at the middle of the night when you’re really craving for pizza. If you have kids or younger siblings, you can ask them to help you for some delicious bonding moment.
