On My Mind: Anawangin Beach of Zambales

I got a text from a friend yesterday asking if I would still be joining them if they decide to go on a trip to Zambales. We originally planned to go to Burot Beach in Calatagan, Batangas. It would be their first time to visit this hidden paradise and second for me.  I DO want to go but I’ve got so much on my plate right now that I don’t even get my usual 8 hours of sleep.

Today, while browsing old pictures to upload to my personal Gravatar account, I stumbled upon pictures of Anawangin Beach and Capaones Island in Zambales.  We’ve visited the place way back in 2009 (if I remember correctly) and it has always been one of my favorite summer escapades. It was my first time to go island hopping and the place was just a constant source of amazement to me until now.  I didn’t expect  to see pine trees just a few meters from the shore but there they were, standing majestically and offering beach goers a welcome  from the glaring heat of the sun.

I just love this picture of us girls. Such a pretty sight, don’t you think? These gals made the trip to Anawangin Beach so special because we really had a good time bonding and relaxing together.  Good company beats good sights anytime, but combine the two and you have one memorable experience to share with your future children and grandchildren.

Just  looking at this picture makes me want to stop whatever I am doing, pack my bags, and take the next bus trip to Pundaquit. But with the eminent opening of our small eatery, mountains of work,  and mommy duties, I cannot afford to do that. What I can do , for the meantime, is gaze at these pictures and visualize myself lying on the fine white sands of Anawangin Beach soon. It certainly beats visiting insurance web sites like Wholesaleinsurance.net.  I’m sure you AGREE with me.
