Nurture Spa Tagaytay Relaunches

It was a cloudy day when me and my blogger friends drove to Tagaytay. I was a little worried that the rains would ruin a promising middle-of-the-week getaway that I have looked forward to all week. Fortunately for us it didn’t  and we were treated to a very enchanting overnight stay in Nurture Spa Tagaytay.

Nurture Spa Tagatay is one of the most relaxing and luxurious spas not only in the Philippines, but in Asia. In fact, it was voted as one of the top 28 spas in the continent.  I had high expectations of the place and I wasn’t disappointed.  The enchantment started the moment we alighted from the van. We were welcomed by courteous, smiling attendants who were playing native instruments as a sign of greeting. One of them handed us wet towels to refresh us from our long journey, while another offered us tarragon tea while we waited to be directed to the hall.  I busied myself by testing the different Amu’in personal care products and taking quotes from the fishbowl on the table.
Drinks and cocktails were served at the hall for the guests who were invited for the relaunch of Nurture Spa Tagaytay. Though I liked everything that was served, I especially favored that lemongrass juice and the shrimp and avocado cocktail.  The lemongrass juice is definitely unique to Nurture Spa and it’s a definite must try if you ever find yourself in this enchanting place.

While we were mingling in the hall, we had the chance to meet the owners of Nurture Spa Philippines, Dr. Mike and Cathy Turvill.  Cathy was very passionate as she narrated how Nurture Spa came to life. She also informed us that her husband is the man behind Amu’in and Spa Essentials products.  Amu’in is a brand of bath and body products used by five-star hotels in the Philippines including Shangri La. Spa Essentials is the cheaper version of this brand that you can buy in Watsons stores.  I will write more about their addictive products some other day.

Also present during the launch were people from Healthway.  At first, I thought that they were there to offer  health insurance advertising but it turns out they were in partnership with Nurture Spa Tagaytay for a special health program called HealthCheq. I guess I have to visit the Healthway branch in Festival Mall Alabang to get a better look at their program.

We were busy listening to Cathy explain the concept of the Digital Meridian System (DMS) when we were called for the formal opening of Nurture Spa Tagaytay to guests.  We all witnessed as the couple banged the gong instead of the usual ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the spa. The guests were then treated to a very delicious dinner prepared by Josiah’s catering while being serenaded by live music.

The highlight of the night, I believe, is when Mike and Cathy danced for everyone to see.  They’re very enchanting to watch.  Indeed, they make it believable that Nurture Spa Tagaytay is the place to be for couples seeking for a romantic getaway.
