When I started working at nights as a virtual assistant, I had a serious break of acne during the first two months. It got me depressed for a while but until I finally got some help from a dermatologist that I consulted during an HBC caravan here in San Pedro, Laguna.
She recommended that I use HBC’s own brand of facial care products, the Hortaleza, MD Acnesol Pimple Control Collection. This includes a Facial Wash, a Facial Toner and a Pimple Control Cream. I’ve got to use it daily, twice a day, to prevent the development of more pimples. I followed this skin care regimen for a few months and it did work. After this, however, I reverted to my trusted facial skin care regimen, which I describe as follows.
1. Wash your face daily using your soap or facial wash of choice. I usually stick with HBC products because they have proven effective but now I just use Dove Beauty Bar or Papaya soap, whichever I am using for the moment. Use circular motions when you are washing your pat. Pat it dry.
2. Use a facial moisturizer. Some soaps or facial wash leave your skin dry, which makes it imperative to use moisturizer. I personally use Myra E facial moisturizer.
Here’s other facial care tips that I have followed
- Drink plenty of water especially after drinking alcoholic beverages. This keeps your skin, not only facial skin, hydrated.
- Eats lots of fruits and vegetables. I like tomatoes and this helps really.
- Take multivitamins. I personally like Stresstabs and it has helped ward off those annoying pimples.
