I was watching The Buzz earlier and they announced that the Queen of Talk, Kris Aquino, and her family has moved to their condo. She was very excited to show her bestfriend Boy Abunda and their show’s crew her new home.
One of the things that got my attention was her bookcases. It occupied one wall of a room and contained Kris’ favorite books. A book buff like myself would like to have a similar feature in my house. Currently, I have a wooden cabinet that’s full of books I have collected over the years. Ninety-five percent of these I have bought from book sales.
Another feature that I noticed is her dining room. She used her mother’s old glass dining room table but had the wooden legs painted in gold. She used different chairs for the dining room set, imitating a shabby chic look. Kris mentioned that her husband James Yap didn’t get why she used mismatched chairs to which she answered “I like it eh.” But what really made the dining room interesting are the blinds that you can put up to have a view of the city.
My interest was also piqued by Kris’ home entertainment center as she confesses to love watching movies along with her husband and kids. It’s very much like the home entertainment centers that I have seen in the past. There’s a large TV set, stacks and stacks of DVD’s and, of course, comfortable chairs. She chose plush, leather chairs in gold and they recline like la-z-boys. I would love to have one like that, but not in gold. Black, perhaps, like the one pictured below.
Her boys, mostly Josh and Baby James, gets their own room, which is the study room. This is where the computers are located. It also serves as work area for people that Kris employed to handle her Facebook account and her soon-to-be-up web site, AllThingsKris.com. I hope to get a closer look at her home when the web site is up and running.
