Yesterday, the skies brought forth heavy rains. It was a welcome event since the last few days had been too humid for comfort. My daughter and I took advantage of the sudden downpour and frolicked in the rain with my two-year old niece Toni.
We stayed within our street. Ran around. Sung at the top of our lungs. Overall, it was a very relaxing experience and one I suggest you try. Then we sat down for a cup of hot choco (which I made from scratch!)and just cuddled in bed. Sigh… This is definitely one of my favorite things.
By the way, just sharing the hot choco recipe here. Quick and easy to do!
Alaska Creamer (choose the one with the yellow packaging, which is cheaper than the evaporated one)
Chocolate Blocks (I used about 1/8 of a half choco block. You can buy these in your local wet market or any baking supplies store)
1. Simmer water and milk together in a small casserole. The parts depend on how creamy or rich you want it to be.
2. Add small pieces of chocolate. If you can’t find choco blocks, I suggest you try your favorite chocolate candy, without nuts of course. I plan to try flat tops and Goya’s dark chocolate. Or just use the local tablea. They taste just as good.
3. Stir until the chocolate is dissolved.
4. Add some marshmallows for the kids (or the kid in you!)
Enjoy your hot choco!
