The very first contest that I sponsored in this blog, thanks to Influential Blogger Janette Toral, is the Show Real Love, Share Happiness contest, which run from October 7-13, 2010. I already chose the winner, the reader who’s comment I deemed the best, and it is Aida Villanueva. Below is a screenshot of her comment:

The reason why  I chose her comment is that it promotes voluntarism. Since I was in college,  I have done a lot of volunteer jobs as a UP Pahinungod volunteer and as a member of UP Helping Hand, a now defunct socio-civic organization. Small as it may be, UP Helping Hand was my family during college and we bonded over our tutorial sessions to the kids in Area 11, the parties in Hospicio San Jose, and our babysitting duties in CRIBS. I must say that volunteering made my college life really mean a lot and even though it got in the way of me getting my honors, I would still do it all over again.
